Not everyone can afford a new Porsche, Ferrari or Lamborghini. Most believe that you need a massive bank account to even consider buying one. How many people though have considered a quality pre-owned Porsche? Aha you say, I really never thought about that. Well now you should because there are some excellent pre-owned luxury and exotic cars available in the marketplace. You just need to know where to look.
Take a tour on the Internet. You will be pleasantly surprised at what you will find. There are all kinds of bargains among older upscale motor cars that still have lots of quality life in them along with the wow factor as well.
A good friend of mine was ready to plunk down about $24,000.00 for a pre-owned Honda. He did not necessarily want or need a Honda, it was just in his budget and a Honda is a very good car. Sure it is newer than the examples I give below, but it is not a Porsche. So I asked him this question. Why did you choose this Honda? He said, because I saw it advertised at a dealership and that was what I wanted to spend. All well and good I responded. Then I asked him the all important question. Would you ever consider buying a Porsche for that same $24,000.00? He immediately said of course but where the heck am I going to find a Porsche for $24,000.00? Well, the rest is history as we drive to our local pub for a pint of ale in his 1986 Porsche 911 he purchased for $22, 950.00.

On a very popular luxury/exotic car website there is a 1983 Porsche 911 SC advertised for $15,750.00. There are several pictures and the car looks like it is in pristine condition. The written description of the car sounds very appealing as well. It does have 95,000 miles on it, but hey, this is a classic 25 year old Porsche for under $20,000. You are bound to get head turners on this one.
How about another classic? A 1996 BMW M6 with only 43,000 miles. The owner of this classic is asking $22,750.00. Here is another Porsche. 1986 911 Carrera with 95,000 miles offered at $19,911.00. As you can see, these are but a few luxury/exotic cars that can be purchased for under $25,000.00. By spending a few hours online and researching your options, you will discover a whole new world of fine luxury and exotic motor cars available to purchase for under $25,000.00.
Now comes the interesting and fun part. If you are thinking about buying a car, especially a luxury or exotic car, will you now start to think about a quality pre-owned Porsche or BMW or even a Ferrari? Many of these fine motor cars are readily available for under $25,000.00. Think of the amount of money you can save as compared to buying a new luxury or exotic car. All-wheel Drive for Porsche 911 Targa
Porsche enthusiasts are excited about the new offer from Porsche. This offer is all about the permanent all-wheel drive given by the automaker to Porsche 911 Targa. The vehicle is now on sale.
All-wheel drive (AWD), otherwise called as four-wheel drive, 4×4, 4WD, is a term used to describe a 4-wheeled vehicle with a drivetrain that is capable of allowing all the four wheels to simultaneously get power from the engine. This feature is commonly associated with off-road vehicles nonetheless; all-wheel drive is crucial in providing better control on slippery ice and race tracks on paved streets.
The term is originally used to describe truck-like vehicles that necessitate switching between a 2-wheel drive mode for roads and a 4-wheel drive mode for low traction conditions like ice, gravel and mud. AWD is common for identical drivetrain systems that will be marketed for both the upmarket and downmarket branding. Targa also allows open-air free-spirited driving when outside temperature is accommodating. Subsequently, the semi-translucent roller sunblind is used to provide shade in the interior of the car when the roof is closed. The roller blind and the glass roof can be maneuvered using a rocker switch.
Porsche 911 Targa is powered by 3.6-litre six cylinder 3.6-litre six-cylinder engine that delivers 239kW. The S variant, the most powerful among the variants, uses a 3.8-litre engine that produces a top speed of 355bhp. The car is also equipped with Porsche VarioCam Plus valve control system, Vehicle Tracking System (VTS), and other striking car features.

New Porsche Rs Spyder Delivered to Customer Team
Finally the first Porsche RS Spyder built for a customer team has been delivered to Dyson in Poughkeepsie, New York just in time for the coming 2007 ALMS season (the kickoff at Sebring takes place March 17).
The vehicle went to the US-based Dyson Racing team which with Porsche support will field two of the Weissach-developed and built high-tech sports prototypes against strong competition in the 2007 American Le Mans Series. It can be recalled that Porsche has swept the class competition with the RS Spyder winning all championship titles in the LMP2 category last season.
The RS Spyder will be undergoing further improvements over the winter and will be equipped with high performance Porsche parts. But right now its revving 500 horsepower is prepared to take on the challenges of its upcoming tests in Le Castellet and Sebring.
The delivery of the RS Spyder at Dyson Racing headquarter exemplifies Porsche commitment to customer racing. The RS Spyder was produced at the manufacturer facility of the new Porsche Motorsport Center in Weissach and was loaded for transport across the Atlantic. The other hand-built sports prototype will be delivered to Dyson’s headquarters in New York State in early February.
The American Le Mans Series takes off on March 17 with the Mobil 1 Twelve Hours of Sebring. To take on the challenge of the upcoming series are two RS Spyders which is Porsche’s supported Penske Motorsports team who won team championship last season.
And before the American Le Mans Series in March, the traditional winter test takes place on the Florida airfield circuit from January 22 to January 24. Dyson Racing together with the Penske Motosports will take part in the said public test both will be using Porsche RS Spyders courtesy of Porsche engineers from Weissach.
About Porsche RS Spyder
Porsche has developed and built the open RS Spyders in accordance to the rules and regulations of the French Automobile Club de’l Ouest (A.C.O) racing organization under the designation “Le Mans Prototyopes 2.” This means that this racing car may be entered, inter alia, in the American Le mans Series or ALM, the European Le Mans Series (LMS), and the 24 hours of Le Mans.
Porsche has chosen the second-highest of the four A.C.O. racing categories where it can compete at the highest level of technology and at the same time can limit the cost of racing the car with a view to future entry of the RS Spyder by customers.
